The Rose That Grew From Concrete

Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?

Concrete is hard, gray, rough, and if you fall on it, it hurts. Concrete is all around us, in the obstacles we face, in the hardships we go through. It’s there to prevent us from going any farther whether it’s down below or above us. It can be hard to maneuver your way through a barrier that’s made to block your way but it is possible…

Proving nature’s laws wrong it learned to walk without having feet

When you’re put into a situation that’s designed to keep you at the same place with no progression you have to make your own way. That’s easier said than done but if you have the right mindset you can grow from anything because if you want something bad enough obstacles are only temporary. When the odds are against you, prove everyone else wrong and prove to yourself that you can get through whatever you’re facing with little to no guidance.

Funny it seems but, by keeping its dreams It learned to breather FRESH air

People will always tell you something isn’t possible and that you shouldn’t go for what you want because of different circumstances. I take heed to everything people say but I never let it stop me from going hard for what I feel is possible. Only you know what you are capable of and how much you can take on. If you feel that something is within arms reach, go for it. People will always talk that’s why they were given mouths but we sometimes have to learn that everything spoken is not worth listening to. Keep your dreams alive and never let anyone belittle them or belittle you. If you want it, fight for it with the resources and power that you have. Utilize everything that you can get your hands on.

Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared!

The lack of care that we are surrounded by should not and does not have to hinder our growth, especially not with a flower so beautiful. We are all budding roses trying to make it out of places and situations. Always remember your current situation is not your final destination and does not define you.

I have been faced with many situations these past few months and throughout life but I like to think of myself as a rose growing from concrete with concrete being people, situations, and my environment. I am constantly growing and evolving into something magnificent so I take my hardships with stride because I can see the bigger picture and the blessings that are coming my way. Even when we think we aren’t growing we are growing in some way whether it be mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Growth sometimes happens unexpectedly and unknowingly so always be ready.

I am not my current situation, problems, or struggles. This too shall pass and growth will take place of my hardships. So in the meantime I smile through it all and emit positive vibes along the way knowing that if there’s a will, there is a way. I will look back and say “I grew out of all of this, look at me now.” You are what you think and what you believe, the law of attraction is real. Have faith and believe in yourself even when no one else does.

You try to plant somethin in the conrete, y’knowhatImean?
If it GROW, and the and the rose petal got all kind of
Scratches and marks, you not gon’ say, “Damn, look at
All the scratches and marks on the rose that grew from concrete”
You gon’ be like, “Damn! A rose grew from the concrete?!”
Same thing with me, y’knahmean? I grew out of all of this
Instead of sayin, “Damn, he did this, he did this,”
Just be like, “DAMN! He grew out of that? He came out of that?”
That’s what they should say, y’knowhatImean?
All the trouble to survive and make good out of the dirty, nasty
Y’knowhahatImean unbelievable lifestyle they gave me
I’m just tryin to make somethin..

You see you wouldn’t ask why the rose that grew from the concrete
Had damaged petals. On the contrary, we would all celebrate its
Tenacity. We would all love it’s will to reach the sun
Well, we are the roses – this is the concrete – and these are
My damaged petals. Don’t ask me why, thank God n*gga, ask me how!
Hahahaha..” – 2Pac Shakur

Celebrate your tenacity and will to reach the sun! Be Blessed & Stay Humble.

While those goals still remain my blog will now be a place to promote self-love and self-care but that's not all. Come take a look to see what it offers.
