“Steps” – Life and Leadership

“You need to be content with small steps. That’s all life is. Small steps that you take every day so when you look back down the road it all adds up and you know you covered some distance.” – Katie Kacvinsky

Often times in life we get overwhelmed with the steps we have to take to reach a certain point. We want things to happen quickly and within our own time frame but we forget that we can only ever take one step at a time. As we succeed and go further in life we encounter more steps and more problems but these only prepare us for the next level. At times we feel that we are stuck in one spot not realizing the amount of steps we have taken to get there or the amount of steps we have to take to get to the next stairwell. The goal is to always open the door but if you always stop one level below you will never get there.

Everything takes time and success doesn’t happen over night, whatever you’re working towards will not happen over night but the steps you are taking to get there is bringing you closer each day. Perception is everything, how you see your journey and how you see yourself can be detrimental or beneficial. If you can evaluate and better understand where you are, you have more of a chance to recognize when your steps are preparation for something greater. Never give up on your dreams, you will always encounter problems, opposition, stress, etc. but don’t let it break you. Life is a step by step process and sometimes ‘Your life is moving faster than your mentality… Everything can move up except your perception of yourself.” – T.D. If given the chance, everyone has a story to tell. My name is Breyana I'jae, I am a 25 year old Temple University Psychology graduate, blogger, visionary, artist, creator, self published author, mama, jack of all trades, and lover of many things.
When I first started this blog in 2013 my goal was to share My Story in hopes of inspiring someone else, I didn't know where it would go, how people would perceive it or what to really do, I just know I lived by the motto, Uplift, Empower, & Inspire.

While those goals still remain my blog will now be a place to promote self-love and self-care but that's not all. Come take a look to see what it offers.
