Latex = Safe Sex for Your Body and Mind

“People love to talk about how to avoid STIs of the physical kind, but nobody likes to talk about the STIs that can destroy your mind.” – Daysha edewi

This video embodies everything I have been talking about these past few months regarding sexual intercourse. Often times people don’t look at the bigger picture of sex or realize how deep it really is. Sharing your sacred parts with somebody is serious because in that moment you are allowing your bodies to connect in such an intimate way. Both males and females can end up dealing with this kind of situation when intentions and end goals are not communicated. If people were open and honest about what they wanted from others the world would be a little better.

Sharing your body with someone and having them leave you or switch up on you hurts. No one wants to know or feel like they were used because at the end of the day we are all living, breathing, humans with feelings and emotions. You can’t beat yourself up for the decisions that someone else chooses to make. If they choose someone else, let them. If they choose to walk away, let them. But never chase anyone or beg them to stay in your life. People will come and go, some under bad circumstances, and some people you just grow apart from. The only thing I can suggest is to be mindful and aware. Protect your body, mind, and soul don’t let people taint you with their dirty ways. Those who walk into situations with hidden agendas are those who tend to mess things up for people who genuinely want what is best for you. Sex can mess you up mentally, especially when your emotions are involved and are not being reciprocated. People lie, cheat, manipulate, and take. It’s something that they will continue to do but that doesn’t mean that because you may have dealt with some things that you completely give up. Life is just life. Things will happen, you will experience hurt, pain, happiness, anger, and joy. You will experience whatever is meant for you to experience but each time take something away from it. You been through some shit? Let that be motivation to rise above and grow from it.

We all mistakes and bad decisions sometimes but never regret it. Learn from it. Every flower has to grow through dirt, it’s never the end of the world. You are not your past and your vagina or penis does not determine your worth. Your body is a temple, your soul is not tainted, your mind is a beautiful place. I am no one to tell you how to live your life but take care of yourselves and I suggest you never place your jewels in a thief’s hand. Keep all three eyes open. Do what’s necessary for you and your happiness. Best wishes.

my body is not a place to kill time

i am more than a quick fuck, a quick bust, i’ve had enough.

enough of the ‘cap up’

enough of telling me good lies

enough of using your charm so i can arch my back and give you a piece of my mind…

If given the chance, everyone has a story to tell. My name is Breyana I'jae, I am a 25 year old Temple University Psychology graduate, blogger, visionary, artist, creator, self published author, mama, jack of all trades, and lover of many things.
When I first started this blog in 2013 my goal was to share My Story in hopes of inspiring someone else, I didn't know where it would go, how people would perceive it or what to really do, I just know I lived by the motto, Uplift, Empower, & Inspire.

While those goals still remain my blog will now be a place to promote self-love and self-care but that's not all. Come take a look to see what it offers.
